Tip #37: how to clean your dishwasher
Vinegar reduces soap build up, so throw a cup of vinegar in your dishwasher and let it run a full (empty) cycle once a month or so.
—this works really well. just be sure to do it during off peak hours so as not to waste too much electricity. i also use speed cycle, to conserve water.

Tip #36: how to clean your microwave
add 1 1/2 cups water + 1/2 cup vinegar to a glass bowl. microwave on high for 3 – 4 minutes or until it boils. let it sit in the microwave for about 2 more minutes as the steam loosens all the ‘stuff’ stuck in there. wipe clean with a damp cloth or sponge.
